Johnene had a passion for art at an early age and entered San Jose State University, in California, as an art major in 1968. Changing her major to a more practical profession in business, she pursued that career for the next 30 years. A year before her retirement in 2003, she returned to her original passion for painting. Her landscape and seascape paintings have been inspired by her travels, with her husband and two Old English Sheep dogs, in their RV throughout the United States over the past eight years.
