Old Town Association will hold its 17th Annual Wild West Festival in McAlester OK in honor of JJ McAlester who founded the town and brought the railroad here to our coal mines. Festival has arts, crafts, music, log rolling, gunfights, Indian village, old time games, Old West photos. True Grit was written about McAlester so we have John Wayne impersonators, characters telling stories.
