The Palmetto Optimist Club is a vibrant volunteer organization based in Sumter, South Carolina, dedicated to bringing out the best in youth, our community, and ourselves. As part of Optimist International, we focus on making a positive impact through service projects, mentorship, and community events that inspire hope and create opportunities for young people.

Sumter Microbrew Festival – A lively downtown event showcasing beer from Yahnis, local businesses, and live entertainment. This adult-focused festival brings the community together to celebrate good brews for a great cause.
Battle Buddies Children's Obstacle Course – An energetic, youth-focused fitness challenge promoting teamwork, confidence, and healthy fun.
Crochet Nights for Childhood Cancer – A monthly gathering where volunteers knit and crochet blankets for children undergoing cancer treatment, spreading warmth and love one stitch at a time.
