I began as a sketch Artist for ABC News, CBS News CNN and AP. I was on call to travel to any courtroom in the U.S. to sketch historical trials and their courtroom stories. I have sketched murderers, criminals, and child abusers. I was allowed in court to sketch evidence that would turn your stomach. I traveled to the U.S. Supreme Court to sketch hearings. It was the experience I acquired while a Courtroom Artist, that gave me the credibility and honor to be inducted into the United States Library of Congress as a MASTER of U.S. Trial Art. The L.O.C. has a portfolio of my artwork that spans a period of 35 years. I was always impacted by the historical influence of any trial that I sketched. I requested to be sent as early as possible to the national crime scenes that I was assigned to-before the trials began. For example, I was onsite just 2 hours after the Oklahoma City Bombing and on site during the Branch Davidian shoot-out. This is why the environment of the crime scene was a huge influence for the art that I would create INSIDE the courtroom when it came time for a trial. I was inspired by years of sketching in historical trials; the horrific stories of how far people will go to hurt each other. In 2014, I became an Art Therapist. Today, I can find ways to help people heal from their trauma, rather than sketching their pain. My paintings reflect a moodiness of emotion wrapped in solace. as I tried to paint the 'feeling' of my environment. All of my courtroom experience has influenced my Art and I will be selling original signed prints as well as original paintings.
