We're not serious about our art.
There’s too much serious in the world.
We’re whimsical.
We’re frivolous.
We’re light-hearted.
We can be silly, irrelevent, irreverent, immaterial,
immature, child-like, but not serious.
We make our art in Detroit, in the city that
knows steel and how to work it.
Unlike Detroit’s other export, automobiles, we do
not use production lines and automation.
Each of our sculptures is cut, welded, painted and
detailed by hand. Like children, no two
are exactly alike.
As with limited edition prints, we make only
so many of each piece, sign and number
them and throw away the pattern.
Each of our children comes with
a birth certificate that tells you about his
or her background, who helped with their
upbringing and where they rank amongst
their siblings.This, of course, assures
you of their parentage and citizenship, the U.S.A.
