By trade, I am a commercial photographer for the past 25 years. My extensive experience has enabled me to develop a strong portfolio that includes both catalog and advertising work. Through my freelance business, I have kept my photographic eye sharpened and focused throughout my career. I have had to reveal my innate artistic element through my fine art images in my travels, my humor, and my backyard. Over the years, these images have been successful hanging in numerous galleries in both St. Paul and Minneapolis.
My fine art photography has developed through my passion and foundation with monochromatic images. I have had many years printing black & white images in the darkroom. Sometimes, I have been known to introduce the innate color of my subject to further enhance the reaction in its environment. This experience has only enhanced my transition to digital printing. In the past thirteen years, I have discovered the unlimited and creative tools of digital photography. This creative medium continues to expose and communicate the fine line between chaotic and predictable results.
With my passion for the outdoors together with my passion for photography, I have been able to create fine art through my environment and emotions to create graphic, balanced and spirited images. These images that have been captured with my camera as my brush, my eyes and hands as my receptors, in my mission to capture the movement of light falling around us.
