Our organization was formed in 1986 when the city of Hoyt KS was getting ready to celebrate its centennial. A 3-day celebration was held in our city park one weekend in late August. The event was such a success, the community decided to make it an annual event with the goal of raising enough money to build a community center. Since then, the group has built that community center, along with a gazebo, a playground, & many other park improvements.
