Featuring fresh ideas in mixed media art featuring artist Shannon Vanas. Working with materials such as wood, resin, glass, wire, canvas, acrylic paints and glass beading. Focus of most pieces contain scroll saw cut wood in various original displays with lots of vibrant colors. My favorite pairing at this time are wood and resin displyed in a "stained glass" look in intricate patterns cut into wooden crosses. My imagination is wide open to new ideas!
I have been crafting art with scroll saw cut wood for over 20 years. I am a disabled veteran and art is my main focus for my health. I love coming up with ways to mix materials that are not always common for beautiful original pieces and continuing to find fresh ideas.
