Quantum – The definition describes it as energy or momentum which is usually regarded as a unit. Denver’s Quantum Jazz is all about four individuals coming together as a unit who share a common goal to create high energy music that connects with its listeners. Comprised of alto saxophonist Jim Arter, electric bassist Steven Ossolinski, keyboardist Tim Ensner and drummer Dan Shirk, Quantum Jazz plays not only straight ahead and contemporary Jazz compositions, but also songs from that pivotal time in the 70’s & 80’s, when another form of Jazz evolved called Groove or Funk Jazz.
