I have been writing since I was 12 years old. Writing has always been a passion of mine and it has allowed me to escape.
I come from a family of 13 children, six living in one house, and writing was my way of staying out of trouble and to keep from remembering how hard it was to fit in at home and school. I’ve watched family members and friends go down the wrong path and have been tempted, but because of my God-given talent, I have been able to avoid it.
My dream since I was about 15 years old was to become a published writer. I never took it seriously until I became a parent myself. I want to be able to show my children that if you follow your dream, put in the hard work necessary, and stay focused, anything is possible.
I have an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and plan to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management. I also plan to start a non-profit organization with three other people to help the survivors, victims, and family of survivors and victims of domestic violence get out of bad situations, become self-sufficient, and go as far as they want to go in life with the right tools.
Writing is a major part of my life and I have the potential to do so much. If given the opportunity, I know that my work would touch the lives of many and may inspire someone to have faith and follow their dream.
