Rita Berry

My Name is Rita Berry I am a local artist residing in Vallejo, CA.
My passion for colorful, fun and easy to wear clothing led me to create a line of beautiful, elegant, handmade ruanas!

I started sewing late in life although my mother got me started when I was young, she was a seamstress as was my grandmother, but I couldn't sit still long enough to stay with it back then.

My inspiration came when I saw my first ruana, it was a zebra pattern wild and exotic, I fell in love with the easy flowing style of it and decided I must have more in lots more colors!!!

That is how Rita's Wraps was born. I debuted my wraps at he Calistoga Farmers Market and Wine Festival, where they were well received, and that launched my new business!

I like to sell them at local art and craft fairs, as well as on line.
