I make handcrafted wooden boxes using both domestic and exotic hardwoods. I have been working with wood for about 30 years. My main occupation has been as an elementary school teacher, but I have worked to improve my woodworking skills. I have been producing items such as turned bowls, boxes, plates, as well as keepsake and jewelry boxes. I began to sell at craft fairs in Northeren California last year. When I retire from teaching in 4 years, I plan to make woodworking my preferred activity.
