Robin Delorenzo Music, Hopatcong, NJ
Her voice is sultry - or bluesy - or rockin'. Her range is as wide as any number of musical styles you can imagine: ballads, rock n' roll, emotional grit and more are a matter of fact for Robin DeLorenzo, a Jersey singer/songwriter with incredible lungs. Fresh off a very successful stint in Nashville, she said she is beyond thrilled. “After 12 years, 3 CDs, working with dozens of musicians and many hundreds of gigs later, I am performing my music at The Bluebird Café in Nashville,” Diane Lilli, Jersey Tomato Press, Sept 2014.
Covers or Originals, Robin offers something for everyone. Her fun cover band, Soul City Blues, will bring the house down and keep people dancing all night long with upbeat, souful, rockin' blues.
She also supports her 12 song album, "Walkin' Miles in My Shoes", Robin DeLorenzo is a powerful Blues Recording Artist who sings from her soul, writes from her heart and puts it all out there for every song and performance. When she sings, people listen. She has that special way of grabbing the entire room with her first breath and holding on to them with every story telling note, as if time is standing still. She is real, magnetic and engaging. Favorably compared to Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt and Tina Turner, she is a true talent.
Robin has co-written, recorded and toured with Manny Charlton, co-founding member and former guitarist/songwriter for the 1970's Scottish Rock Band, Nazareth, famous for their version of the song Love Hurts. As Manny's lead singer, Robin recorded the CD, Hellacious and co-wrote the song, It Does Something which is also on her CD, Walkin' Miles in my Shoes.
She has also worked with Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Robert Sarzo (Queensryche, Hurricane), Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Cactus), Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard), Steven Adler (Guns n Roses), Walfredo Reyes Jr. (Santana, Chicago, L.Buckingham), George Naha, (Sam and Dave), and Steve Jankowski (Blood, Sweat and Tears), to name a few.
Robin is a proud member of The Recording Academy and ASCAP.
