5 K Run at 8:00
Music 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM

We invite vocal and instrumentalist to our Music Festival in which we will be featuring old fashion entertainment.  We will be featuring bluegrass, country, folk, mountain and Delta Blues…we invite vocal, guitar, banjo, fiddle, dulcimer, string bass and mandolin musicians for an incredible day of music in a beautiful setting, Legion State Park.

And, those of you that are runners, we start our day off with a 5 K run at 8:00 AM!

This is the Official Musician’s Application that must be filled out completely before your application can be accepted and your venue assigned.  There will be five - six venues with multiple artist performing and jamming at each venue though out the day. Please complete the application below so we can place you on our “first come, first accepted” list of musicians to perform at our festival.

We will have 5-6 venue sites.  Musicians  play from 10 AM - 3:30 PM.  At each venue we expect to have 3-4 main groups that will play 30-45 minute sessions.   Shorter performances (10-15 minutes) and jamming will fill in the remaining time.

We reserve the right to determine the performers who are selected to participate.

The finale will start at 4:30 PM at the Amphitheater overlooking the Big Lake.

Our historic Lodge, built by Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and opened in 1937, will be the location of Venues 5 and 6.

Tucked in thick forests and rolling hills, Legion State Park consists of over 420 acres of forest, two small lakes and a handful of well-preserved depression-era structures including a beautiful rustic lodge.  The park has offered an outdoor escape for Mississippians for 81 years.

Our venues are located in picturesque sites through out the park.  Each site is complimented by the natural acoustic surroundings afforded by the gentle rolling hills and thick forest.  Together, these sites will enhance and complement the artistry of the musicians.

We forward to seeing and hearing you at our First Legion State Park Music Festival on November 10, 2018.  Spread the word with your friends and colleagues about our upcoming event…It’s going to be great fun!
