I am a retired, senior ciitzen who wanted to work from home. My husband and I have beem married 49 years. We have three beautiful daughters and six grandchildren. I am Lutheran and belong to WI Ev.Lutheran Synod. Because my husband is retired Navy, I had the opportunity to travel the country: Alaska, California, Memphis, Florida were a few home ports and presently live in the great state of Texas.
As I settled in different areas of the country, my interests and involvement in various activites changed. Having an executive secretarial background, I used those talents in various organizations and worked part time. A new challenge I pursued while in FL was taking organ lessons, I played AT it; I did consider myself an organist but the mere fact I was able to play, I felt was an achievement.
I enjoy interior decorating, floral arranging, volunteering at my church, physical fitness and I collect frogs--of course, not the real ones but I have my share of frog memorabilia throughout my home.
While living in FL I experienced the noise of the frog matting season.
Unfortunately my husband was deployed so I couldn't ask him. I lost two weeks of sleep because the noise was so bad. When I finally found out, upon my husband's return, he gave me my first stuff frog animal and I have been collecting ever since.
I have read many articles on how to keep your mind sharp. One is take music lessons but, at the time, I could not find an organ instructor. In the meantime I was checking out various opportunities to work at home. Though working a website is not learning to play the organ, it does keep my mind moving. There is always something new to learn whether it is the business or the computer.
