More Than A Memory is an Event Planning Company, owned and operated by Sami Schumann. I not only do all the small details to big details of an event but also offer individual services such as custom cakes, diaper cakes, handmade invitations, cake balls and more!
Since I was a litte girl I have always been artistic whether it was drawing, painting, or scrapbooking. After High school I was faced with the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?" after a few years in college and several art classes later I decided my dream was to own my own company doing something in the art field. In my later years in college friends were getting married and having babies and it is here where I learned my love for event planning. After graduating in 2008 from the University of Houston with my BA in Fine Arts I decided I wanted to own my own event hall one day and run an event planning company out of it that would offer all the services a bride, mom to be, proud parent, etc would need. Although owning my own place is still out of reach I begin to do some events for friends and family and from there started expanding my knowlege in the industry by taking some online classes for Event Planners and then took some classes in cake decorating. After just one class of cake decorating I knew it would be a life long passion of mine. I pride myself in excepting new challenages and learning new tecniques. Although I may not have met my over all goal, I am loving every step of the growing process. Not only am I a business owner I am also a wife and mother. My husband and I have been together for 2 years and it has been the best part of my life. Not only did I get a great guy but I got a beautiful step-daughter aswell. Along with Halli we have our first little girl on the way and we couldnt be more happy.
