The Mission of Saco Main Street is to make Saco a great place to live and work by enhancing the vitality of our downtown.
Under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors, Saco Main Street utilizes an innovative 4-point approach to revitalization. The approach focuses on promotions and marketing, design and preservation, economic development, and volunteer organization to revitalize and improve our already beautiful city. Saco Main Street's events, downtown decorations, and revitalization efforts are made possible in part through your generous support. Some of the events that we produce include Jane's Walk in May, Bark in the Park in June, the Arts Festival in June, the Car Show in July, a Music in the Park series July - August, the Pumpkin Harvest Festival in October, and the Holiday Festival and Parade of Lights in December. In addition, we are responsible for the flower planters along Main Street, holiday window decorating contests for merchants, and many other terrific programs and initiatives to help our downtown merchants thrive.
Saco Main Street is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and is a Nationally Accredited Main Street by the Maine Downtown Center and confirmed through Main Street America.
