For over 20 years, the Salem Multicultural Institute, better known as World Beat, has been bringing the community together to celebrate and explore world cultures. We believe that exposure to and education about different cultures opens the door to understanding, acceptance and a stronger community. The World Beat Festival takes place the last weekend of June every year, bringing music, dance, art, and food from over 70 cultures and nations to Salem. Whether you are into Irish music or the didgeridoo is your jam, we've got something for everybody!
