I love everything vintage; along with woodworking, painting & staining, sewing & dumpster-diving!
I just worked my first craft fair this past Spring, in Townsend, with my Mom. I loved every minute of it! So great being around a bunch of creative, like-minded individuals. The weather was awful that day, with high winds & sprinkling rain, throughout the ENTIRE event....needless to say, we still managed to have fun.
These kind vendors/strangers would run, leaving their own tents and wares behind, whenever it even remotely looked as if one of the neighboring tents were going to blow off the side of that dreary mountain we were all on that day! But, everyone, despite the less-than-stellar conditions, was just so pleasant, friendly and helpful.
Being around these kindred spirits reminded me of why I'm trying so hard to get my business up and running! To be able to continue to create, staying out of the bureaucratic, kool-aid drinking, corporate black-hole, spending more time with artists like myself, would be an absolute dream come true.
Every one of us, putting our hearts into our work, putting it out there, for all the world to see...and, hopefully, BUY! ;)
