Designed over the course of many years. Handmade from recycled/salvaged/reused wood: old vertical grain california douglas fir, vertical grain canadian cedar, burmese teak pegs, california cypress and other woods of the west or a species of your choice. Hand shaped and finished with original design inspired by Korczak Ziolkowski sculpture, Wharton Esherick furniture, and Green & Green architecture; teak pegs and fir, cypress, or cedar boards designed to reflect the natural action of wind and water on wood, the beauty of each unique piece reflected in the amount of conscious time spent in design and assembly. Hand sanded and polished, my non toxic finishes use natural oils and waxes to bring out the light inside of the depth of the natural grain and beauty of real wood, which is easily maintained by use and cleaning. Easy to install, but I will also deliver and install in person if you wish. Each one is custom made to order after an interview (via telephone, skype, or in-person) during which time, materials, & size specifications and price are agreed upon.
