Each transformation — whether as an alien, a cowboy, or the enigmatic Lolo the Lord of Love — is unique, but one element remains unchanged: the black cross worn by both Sidow and his husband, Richard. It is a constant in his body of work, representing faith, divine protection, and gratitude for the force that propels his life and career. “Even when I’m playing the antagonist, the black cross is there — a reminder of who I am and where my strength comes from,” Sidow says.
Sidow also ensures that the ground beneath him is part of the story. Whether walking, standing, or dancing, his connection to the earth is deliberately filmed as a gesture of respect for the locations he visits — from European landmarks to Hollywood stages. “What started as fantasy became my reality,” he explains. “Now I film in the places I once dreamed about.”
Numbers also carry meaning within his work. The recurring appearances of 8, 88, 11, 4, and No.1 are intentional — symbols of infinity, unity, bonds, foundation, and dominance. “These numbers are not chance,” Sidow says. “They are part of a prophecy that plays out every day in our lives.”
