My name is Lisa, and I started creating semi-precious stone jewellery as a way to cope with he stress of caring for my mother who was diagnosed with fronto-temporal dementia in 2014. I found the process meditative and the more deeply I delved into it, the better I felt.
I began with japa malas and quickly moved on to wrap bracelets and earrings. I've recently also begun working with hammered metals. My process is always evolving and I keep finding new ways to challenge myself and grow.
Some interesting tidbits about me:
• I sing in a band almost every weekend
• I love hot peppers, but can't stand sweet peppers (weird, right?)
• I used to own a coffee shop
• I also make custom t-shirts
• I never met a book I wouldn't read, but am particularly fond of Neil Gaiman and Margaret Atwood
