The South Lyon Area Pumpkinfest started 30 years ago by the late Dean Sparks. Over the years, the event grew from a craft and antique show to a weekend-long celebration of crafts, music, community, and of course, everyone's favorite fall product; the pumpkin.
In 2009, the Pumpkinfest Committee adopted leadership of festival organization and planning. In 2010, Pumpkinfest became a registered Michigan 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
This year South Lyon’s much anticipated community event celebrates its 30th anniversary. For three decades, The South Lyon Area Pumpkinfest has provided wholesome entertainment for all ages. Come downtown South Lyon Friday, September 26th – Sunday, September 28th to be “Welcomed Home.”
