SouthWind specializes in original paintings, photography and sculpture by artists with roots in Kansas and the Midwest. For over two decades, we have assembled an impressive group of regional and internationally recognized artists.
The gallery's interior features soaring vaulted ceilings on two levels for viewing works of art, and the professional staff encourage browsing, questions and conversation about our art and artists.
Janet Paduh owns SouthWind Art Gallery of Topeka, formerly known as Framewoods Gallery. In 1992, former owner Gary Blitsch purchased Framewoods of Topeka, a custom picture framing studio and art gallery and soon began expanding the art and framing services. Over the years, the gallery has become a leader in the art and framing industry by consistently providing exceptional personal service and innovative products for our clients.
In 1999, the Framewoods gallery underwent a major expansion to create a much larger art gallery space, which was renamed SouthWind Gallery. Gary retired at the age of 76 in 2019, and Janet Paduh purchased the gallery to continue its legacy.
Today, SouthWind Art Gallery and Framewoods of Topeka are one convenient business, where residential and corporate clients come to get the best of both worlds—fine art and quality archival framing.
