We have a passion for designing and handcrafting custom Jewelry. When we began this journey in 2009, we could not imagine unleashing so much creative energy. But we were soon addicted, drawn to earth's array of semi-precious stones and their potential for beauty. We are similarly fascinated by the history and challenges of stonework and metalwork – transforming rocks, sterling silver and copper into wearable Jewelry Art.
We have embraced the challenges inherent in this art, including exhaustive research, travel, investing in tools, mastering new techniques, acquiring noteworthy and uncommon materials, perfecting creative design, and meticulously handcrafting significant, distinctive pieces of Jewelry. The process is stimulating, motivating and immensely satisfying. We are further rewarded by the ongoing success of our business and the support of our customers, who make it possible for us to do the work we love.
We design and create singular, one-of-a-kind, over the top pieces of Jewelry – Jewelry that is captivating, compelling and galvanizing. Jewelry that validates not only outstanding craftmanship, but that also evokes passion and desire. Jewelry that stands out in a crowd.
We are committed to a process that demands:
- Employing beautiful and high-quality gemstones and precious metals
- Creating one-of-a-kind pieces that deliver high visual and emotional impact
- Handcrafting our Jewelry using meticulous design techniques
- Pushing the envelope to continually create distinctive and original designs
Today, we are 8-1/2 years into this amazing artistic journey. We have personally designed and handcrafted over 800 unique pieces of Jewelry, employing sterling silver and copper and over 130 discrete types of semi-precious stones, corals, horn beads, trade beads, antique ceramics and specialized glass.
This amazing diversity of materials – and our passion for the work that we do – assures us that we will be creating Southwest Designs custom Jewelry Art for many more years to come. Please visit our entire Jewelry Collection at Southwest Designs' website.
