I am a geologist/artist/craftsman who creates natural stone features that seek to evoke the genetic connections we all carry of the unspoiled environs of human origins. The rare stone I work with is sourced from the Okanogan Highland region of north-central Washington.  To my knowledge, no other place in the world produces such small slender, highly colored, perfectly formed basalt columns as the Beaver Canyon Quarry, which I operated for over 20 years.
