I've been a rock hound since I was a child, Ten years ago I finally took a lapidary class to learn how to polish stones, and immediately became an addict. Of course, I had to do something with all those pretty rocks, so I learned to wire wrap. I have been awarded Master status in lapidary and hard stone carving by the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies, earning a rare 100 points in both categories. I have also earned Advanced status in Wire Art. Masters competition is next! I am currently a lapidary instructor at the Reno Gem and Mineral Society.
