Summerlyn Powers, Fairhope, AL
A vintage Soul from Fairhope, Alabama, Summerlyn Powers tells stories beyond her years. Being influenced by artists such as Carole King and Beatles, her songwriting skills and unique voice are a blast from the past. You'll feel welcome to laugh along to quirky lyrics and enjoy metaphorical folk songs throughout her show.
Summerlyn penned her first, record-worthy song at the age of 11. Pam Tillis heard the song and appeared as her mom in Summerlyn's first music video, “Alabama Kinda Girl”. Since that day, Pam Tillis has served as mentor and friend throughout Summerlyn's music career. Pam was also a co-writer of Summerlyn's first EP "Dixie Dust", along with Emmy winning, hit writer Andrew Rollins. Her newest EP, produced by Grammy award winning Andy Hunt, is a raw and unique project filled with vivid storytelling set to the tune of catchy melodies.
Summerlyn performs in shows all over the Southeast including numerous songwriter festivals and music venues.
