Sutton Guitars consists of the Husband & Wife team of Doug & Sutton Henderson. Based in Smyrna, GA Doug builds Handcrafted Cigar Box Guitars as well as plays them "Live" to help promote them. Wife Sutton is very much an equal partner in her role as promoter & Business Goddess for her namesake company.
Doug usually showcases a new guitar (CBG) each week in the Atlanta area. Videos of these can be viewed on the website www.suttonguitars.com or, on youtube under the stage name of "Junkyard Duggy." Doug has also written many Delta Blues-style songs to help compliment his CBG's.
Originally from Orlando, FL Doug has been performing since 1979 and can play all major musical instruments as well as sing.
To compliment the style of guitars being folk art inspired, Doug has also built several homemade instruments to accomany him in his shows. Doug usually uses foot drums to project a more "Street Busker" feel. Audiences never know exactly what to expect. The instruments are constantly changing as the previous ones are sold.
