HOW TO CLEAN YOUR JEWELRY

posted April 23, 2022

Lots of people have been asking me how to clean their jewelry or how I clean mine. There are two jars that I use every year to clean my jewelry and the jewelry that I make. They are both made by Connoisseurs - Silver and Precious.

You can get these products at Wal-Mart, Kohl's and Target, and they come with basket in each jar so you can dip the piece into the jar and get it back out. A word of caution: my mother dipped her silver and pearl necklace in the silver solution and the silver solution ripped the pearls of their luster. Use the precious solution for pearls and stones. You can also use the little brush that comes with the solution to hand clean the silver parts of a necklace without getting it onto the stone or pearl. These products are around $5-$8 each and are tried and trusted. How often? I believe once a year is enough. If you don't want to go this way, you can always purchase anti-tarnish strips in jewelry and some bead/jewelry craft stores!

PET MEMORIAL PENDANTS

posted April 23, 2022

I have had friends who've lost their sweet dogs and wanted to memorialize them in some way, so I took their picture and put it into a vintage watch fob. They can hang on chains as necklaces (preferred) or bracelets. Here are two pictures of what I have done for them. I can even put some of their ashes in the pendant. I'm sorry that the bottom picture is a little fuzzy. Call me at 601-260-3098 or email me at suzannaleslie@gmail.com. I'm sure I can do people memorials as well!
