Identical twins collaborate to make THE TWINS NEW YORK, a clothing label designed and made in New York City, that takes inspiration from the chaotic streets of the the city and seeks to make it one of a kind pieces.
Adrian Hughes, the designer and creative marketing director of THETWINSNEWYORK, also the 6 minute older twin ;) graduated with a major in Fashion Design from the iconic school Parsons The New School of Design right on 5th avenue in the heart of New York city. Starting TTNY from her and her sisters 2014 senior collection, she designs, markets, and trend forecast the embodiment of TTNY. With her trademark taste, she is inspired by tomboy, off the streets, sporty girl and not being shy showing off the best features of a woman's figure. With her “old school” technique to designing, Adrian Is the key eye behind THETWINSNEWYORK aesthetic.
Andria Hughes, the designer and production manager of THETWINSNEWYORK, also the one who pulls in more feminine approach when designing compared to her sister who has more tomboy edge, graduated from Parsons New School of Design, with a major in Fashion Design where she attended every class with her sister right next to her. With her great sewing skills, and pattern making Andria is your girl getting TTNY into your hands & on your bodies. Making sure each piece is finished to perfection. With incredible styling skills, she drives the aesthetic of TTNY deeper through photo shoots. She is the crucial thread that ties the look and feel of THETWINSNEWYORK together.
With these two together and their background experience nothing is off limits for these gals. They live and take pride in designing. They are always looking to grow and expand their brand. Working with fashion designers, Showroom Internships, photo shoots, traveling together has taught them so much. The girls make a unique pair that you cannot find anywhere else. These City girls believe in 'Quality of Quantity” and that good things are worth waiting for. Every piece is locally made in New York and packed by the girls behind TTNY. Self picked materials, textiles, each item is thought out and personal. Keeping the company USA made, and a bit hard to find, the girls take pride in being one of a kind. Looking into branching into pop up shops and several collaborations in New York and also stores in Detroit, Michigan where the girls hometown is. TTNY is transforming into a lifestyle brand. With a goal to always produce statment clothing, by wearing any piece by THETWINSNEWYORK, you will certainly turn into one.
