I started creating my artdolls late in life, but I have been enchanted with Christmas and Santa Clause as long as I can remember. I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of Christmas without thinking of Santa Clause. He is one of the first characters a child knows and loves, and for some of us, he lives on in our hearts all the days of our lives.
I am fascinated with the thought that one character can bring joy and hope to practically anyone. Just the thought of Santa Clause makes children’s eye get wider, their hearts beat a little faster, and hopes have a chance to come to life.
In my mind, Santa represents a kindness, an enduring spirit that reminds us that goodness and charity lives in each of us. He brings out the inner child in us all for at least one season of the year. To me, you can sum up the meaning of Santa Clause in one word; “BELIEVE!” Perhaps that’s why I love creating these dolls.
