What does the word “authentic” signify to you? To us it stands for something that is real. To us it means an item or idea that's genuine to its beginnings. It means the hint of salt that's tasted on our al pastor meat (Our Signature Roasted Pork). Or even the spicy kick you get from our baked chicken. Flavors you don't ever find anywhere else, other than in Mexico. It's exactly these flavors that inspired our founders to establish what is now known as “Taqueria Los Gueros”. Three brothers, who have been entrepreneurs and have worked with food since their teen years are responsible for all this goodness. But Taqueria Los Güeros didn't become a reality until they left Mexico City. They decided to take on to different ventures outside their hometown and started traveling. Time passed, many little businesses were built along the way as they kept traveling ending up all the way in New Jersey. During one day, after coming out of a Mexican restaurant, they realized the lack of flavor Pastor meat had anywhere they tried it. After thinking it over, they decided to take on the mission of spreading the real flavor of “Al Pastor” and the “Chiltepin” marinate. After saving up money, Taqueria Los Güeros was born with their first location in Passaic, New Jersey and with the vision of bringing their genuine flavors to every corner possible.
