As a therapeutic outlet from a highly stressful medical profession, I began stringing beads and silver over 20 years ago. I played a few years in Lampworking, making glass beads for my pieces. I explored metal smithing through videos and small workshops over the years. As a primarily self taught metal smith and limited time to play, materials and purchased equipment sat, as I was fearful. Once I retired and had time to practice metal working skills and set stones , a whole new world opened up for me. From that point the birth of my truly authentic work came to fruition.
I pride myself on working with ethically sourced materials. My designs incorporate texture and negative space. I choose stones with metaphysical properties. My work seems to always find its rightful owner.
