Creating a business out of making hanging vases was not my intention when I first picked up a pair of pliers, some wire and a jelly jar. I was just looking for something creative to do!
I made a few votive holders out of old jars and some little hanging vases out of bottles. It was my brother, Mark, who suggested that I make more to sell at our local Dickens of Christmas festival in Wellsboro, PA. That show was such a success and from then on I was referred to as "The Bottle Lady".
Over the years I perfected my craft and attended more art shows to grow my business. Some of my favorite shows include People's Choice in Boalsburg PA, Lilac Festival in Rochester NY, and of course my hometown Dickens of a Christmas!
Online sales is something new to me. I struggle with content and social media postings but I believe I am getting a bit better. I am hoping that my new Etsy shop will expand my customer base across the country.
I am thankful that God has given me this talent and has surrounded me with supportive friends.
