The Chelsea Project is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Mental Health advocacy organization. We are fighting for changes in the mental health care system in Michigan, to rebuild the extended treatment facilities to eliminate the long waiting lists, bridge the gaps in services and close the gaps in insurance coverage.
In 2024, through generous donations from local organizations and members of the local community at area events, we were able to donate $1000 to the Finish Line Scholarship for the Wayne State University School of Social Work. In addition, we helped provide five foster children with Christmas as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets for the families.
We have started our own Mental Health Awareness merchandise line to help raise fund for our organization in order to provide more services to our local community. All merchandise is created by our volunteers!
