About
The Pap Shack, Pinckney, MI
At The Pap Shack, every wood and leather piece is handcrafted with care and intention. From serving boards and charcuterie trays to valet trays and journal covers, each item is made to be used, loved, and passed down.
We work in walnut, cherry, and maple because they are beautiful woods that hold up over time. Our leather goods are cut and stitched with the same care. Every piece is made one at a time, which means no two are exactly alike.
Woodworking is in my blood. From a young age, I watched my dad's hands breathe life into wood, crafting pieces that filled our home with something you just cannot buy off a shelf. His passion sparked my own.
After my dad passed, I picked up the torch. I find real satisfaction in my shop, turning rough lumber into things people can actually use. I have always been drawn to traditional artisan work with a modern touch, the kind that looks good on your counter and still gets pulled out every weekend.
Along the way, I picked up leatherworking on my own, and it has become just as much a part of what I do. Different material, same mindset.
Every piece I make carries a bit of that history with it. The goal has always been simple: make something worth using and keeping.
