The Understudygroup is a Hollywood jingle cover band. With cover tunes like Secret Agent Man, Get Smart, The Munsters, The Adams Family, Green Acres, Anchor's Away, Lone Ranger and many more. We also do rock cover tunes like School's Out, No More Mr. Nice Guy. We have a very fun set of Christmas song's with special twists. We also have a set of rock, metal, swing and punk. We can play any genre or venue in California.
John Voorhees (guitar, lead vocals, drum machine) has been playing in successful bands since he was a kid. He's played bass in bands like Direct Drive and Roxx Regime who became Stryper and Jekyl and Hyde as a front man. He is a creative song writer and has endless potential reaching any audience.
Laurie Voorhees has been playing bass since she was 12 yrs old. Joined Metal Rain & Borrowed Time in High school. Then formed band "Safari" with John Voorhees (guitar, vocal) and brother/ talented drummer George Cerny.
