He joined the United States Army shortly after graduating high school and completed two successful tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom. By age ten, WillyMac became a songwriter/artist, performing talent shows and other public events. As a teenager, he won the hearts of many with his live onstage performances, which added a twist of comedy, r&b, hip-hop, and blues. WillyMac continued to travel the east coast and promote his music to D.J.'s s, club owners, radio stations, and the internet, as well as working closely with independent record labels. The Legendary WillyMac has become a household name in the South, North, East, and West. His music can be heard throughout the United States and Internationally. His high-energy performance is compared to the iconic artists James Brown and Wilson Pickett.
