I born to be an artist, but like so many have had to devote the majority of my time to work and family. Working as a nurse, I created all types of art in spare time and was able to attend art classes, including several at the Cincinnati Art Academy.  I started working in clay around 2010.
I now live on a small farm in Indiana with an art studio in one of the old buildings.

Human faces have
always been my favorite subject matter. I admired and studied the work of Phillip Faraut through books and videos. In 2012 I took a class from this artist and evolved into making slightly abstract features and “personalities”.  Ever since, most of my clay work has focused on contemporary ceramic face sculptures.  These sculptures display emotion through the shape, color and the shadowing of features and finish glazes.
Perfect for narrow wall spaces (or larger spaces in combination), these unique art pieces are sure to draw the attention of visitors and spark conversation.
