Valkyries' Adornments, Valley Ctiy, OH
Graphic designer by day, jewelry artist by night, I enjoy designing artisan jewelry that has a natural look and feel with silver, stones, seeds, pearls, glass and rocks...
My heritage is Scandinavian, so I became very interested in viking knit, or trichopoly. I create single, double, triple & multi-strand viking knit using fine silver, stainless steel & permanently colored copper in a multitude of colors. The pieces are finished with precious metal findings and bails from which beautiful pendants and beads are hung or formed into artsy pieces with hammered skewers, lampworked beads and pearls...
My chainmaille is created using jump rings that are made using silver, copper, brass and stainless steel wire. Skipping stones, or beach rocks are incorporated into my chainmaille designs and I also finish off my creations with sterling silver and gold plated vintage clasps.
I love showing people how to create viking knit, and I demonstrate the age-old process during shows.
My viking knit has been published in BeadTrends, Sept 2009; and chainmaille scale earrings in BeadStar 2010.
