Vate Powell
Hello my name is Rose Powell. I am 12 years old. I am in 7th grade at Glenfield Middle School in Montclair, NJ. A few years ago, I formed Rose & Co. Candlemakers with my dad.
My dad and I started making candles because of his allergies to toxins in paraffin candles. We made extra and gave them as a welcome present to our new neighbors. They were so popular, that I had a candle sale at our house and then moved to pop-up markets and artisan fairs. I like to sell my candles to share my candle making talents with my community. And we support charities that empower and educate girls like The Malala Fund, Camfed and Kiva.
At Rose & Co Candlemakers, we make natural soy- coconut wax, eco wick, wonderful smelling, dye free candles. I hope you will enjoy them!
