About Victoria
Victoria Barr spent most of her childhood with her nose in a book and her imagination exploring other fantastical worlds. As an adult, she spends a lot of her time writing even more stories that she herself would love to read.
One of her biggest sources of inspiration is her pet sugar gliders. She adopted her first pair, two boys, in early 2013. They have traveled with her, gone on vacations with her, and have even gone to school with her! She adopted her second pair, two more boys, at the start of 2020. Having four gliders running around gave her plenty of inspiration and courage to both create and publish her debut children's chapter book series, Glider Tales!
About Glider Tales
Sugar Gliders are small nocturnal marsupials that are bursting with personality! Leo and Zik are two gliders living a happy life with their human, Missy. However, when she adopts two more gliders, Rufus and Yip, things get turned upside-down. The previously quiet life that Zik and Leo were used to was suddenly filled with nightly adventures and excitement! Come along for a unique series of adventures with these four critters, and meet various other animals and friends along the way! (Note that these books can be read as standalone adventures, and do not have to be read in order after book 1.)
