I up-cycle used wine bottles into candles. I cut the wine bottles, sand them down but not too sanded so that you can still see the perfect cut. Then I use 100% soy wax, which is a cleaner burn than parrafin wax. Each candle is scented throughout, with scents such as Harvest Breeze and Cedar & Cinnamon. Each candle is a different size but the wax is measured to the ounce to create a pricing point.
If any of the bottles broke during the process, or if the cut was uneven, I break those bottles and make seaglass out of them. The seaglass is great for decorations and also for making mosaic pieces.
Some of the bottles cut are the larger magnum size, and those I decorate in different ways and leave them empty so they can be containers for just about anything: candy jars, vases, straw holders, just about anything you can imagine.
