Watermark Art Center, located in Minnesota's Northwoods, invites you to explore the best of contemporary art from regional and national artists. With rotating exhibits in four galleries —including dedicated spaces for Indigenous artwork and Bemidji State University's prestigious ceramic and print collections—there is always something new to see. Before you leave, visit the retail gallery – SHOP 505, to find an extensive variety of high-quality, handmade treasures by regional makers.

Beyond the exhibits, Watermark is a hub for community creativity, offering events, performances, and art classes for all skill levels throughout the year. Every third weekend in July, the Watermark Art Festival attracts thousands of visitors to the waterfront in downtown Bemidji. With more than 100 art vendors, the consistent flow of live music, artist demonstrations, and interactive art activities you are ensured a dynamic atmosphere throughout the festival.

As a non-profit, member-supported organization, Watermark is proud to offer free admission to the galleries and festival.
