Jason West is a singer/songwriter from Dayton, Texas who grew up listening to music from the likes of Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, George Jones and George Strait. Although he entered the music scene a little later than most, music has always been an important part of his life. When he wrote his first song at the age of 12, his dad told him that young boys shouldn’t write songs about loving, leaving, and drinking. In 2011 Jason decided to jump into the music scene headfirst, and he gathered some of the best musicians the area has to offer and formed, Jason West and the West of the Trinity Band. The band is comprised of himself and Charles Pafford, Greg Klopfenstein, David Galyon, and Mike Maples. With Jason writing the lyrics and the band composing the music, songs like Floating Down the Guadalupe, Sacrifices, and Crazy Life have become crowd favorites at their live shows. A good mixture of cover songs and their outstanding original music keeps the dance floor packed and people driving from miles around to catch a show. Jason West and the West of the Trinity Band have been lucky enough to open for some of Texas’ and Nashville’s finest artists and they are looking forward to a long career in the music industry.
