Curt and I came up with idea to make wine bottle wind chimes in an effort to increase both motor and cognitive executive thinking skills for the Bay Area Brain Injury Support Group (BABISG) members. Our objective was for our members to take ownership of and develop a sense of pride with being involved with a start to finish project. Disappointing to us, the member's enthusiasm was somewhat less than what we had hoped for. However, Curt and I's enthusiasm remained positive throughout the project and in order to raise money for the group, we decided to continue the project ourselves.
The money we raise will be used to provide information and support to survivors, caregivers, and the general public, alike. In researching traumatic brain injuries, 50% of all Traumatic Brain
Injuries (TBI) result in death. Therefore, We would like to decrease the number of motorcycle related TBI deaths by supporting the reenactment of the Texas helmet law.
We've also decided to not only make wine bottle wind chimes but to offer a less expensive wine bottles filled with M&M's.
