My craft business was started just prior to my retirement.  It was intended to be a hobby to occupy my time in retirement.  At the encouragement of friends and family I began offering a few of my creations for sale at a local craft show.  I was surprised at how successful the venture was.  I continue expanding the number of craft shows I attend each year to the point where my "hobby" has now become a job !!  But I still enjoy the time I spend in the shop and meeting new people is another bonus of the business.
