Zartiphins' Emporium, Portsmouth, RI
My name is Zartiphin-pen name. I am currently a stay at home mom working out of my house. I am in the process of getting my business off the ground. I currently do festivals, craft shows and pow wows to get my name out there. I have had a camera in my hand since I was about 9 years old. Photography has long been a passion of mine. I've taken thousands of pictures in the US and Canada. I have taken many of my animal pictures and put them into an ABC book for young children. Many educators in my area are using the book in their classrooms. Children seem to really enjoy the pictures of the animals and consequently are interested in learning. Along with that I have had my photos in newspapers and on many blogs throughout the world. One of my pictures was published in "Kids Are Americans Too" , by Bill O'Reilly. I have been published in "Reason" magazine.
As well as my photography, I handcraft jewelry, dreamcatchers, shell art, blankets, and rattles to sell. Also make native ribbon shirts, fancy shawls, tote bags. My photographs and jewelry are in the homes of famous artists and actors; two of which are Ed Beard, Jr., the world acclaimed fantasy illustrator and Carmen Argenziano-Jacob Carter/Sel'mac from Stargate SG1. Ed's wife, daughter, mother and sister, all have my jewerly. Ed has a selection of my photos in his home, and he has one of my dreamcathcers in his work space! So I do manage to get around a little bit!
I am in the process of finishing a fantasy story that I hope will be published. Ed Beard, Jr. is working on a picture that the story is based on.
My daughter keeps me young. Having had her rather late in life, has been a blessing.
I will have my website up and running soon so that those of you that are interested can go in and view my pictures and jewelry and dreamcatchers and maybe even purchase one or two!
Thanx to all of you who take the time to view any of my median!
