I have been an educator and a writer for over 25 years. Eight years ago I wanted to explore the world of jewelry designer. I loved chunky Southwestern turquoise but at the same time the dainty ultra-feminine pieces appealed to me. So I decided, that instead of having "one particular look", I would create whatever I felt! I began by taking apart a multitude of old necklaces, charm bracelets, earrings...you name it ...and re-creating completely new pieces. I would go to vintage stores and grab every crystal I could find. And then I stumbled upon an outdoor market filled with rusty items, and I had a blast finding vintage motel room tags, leather belts, rusty bolts and spoons. All of these materials became new designs that were one of a kind and unique. I sold out of every piece I made in my first art show. And from there I became addicted to having a "boutique on the go." I get so excited when I see someone fall in love and just "have to have" one of my designs. I feel very blessed to have taken the plunge and gave my creative side a new avenue to venture into.
